- Perform cutting, bending, forming, shaping, and welding operations (TIG/MIG; stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel).
- Fit, align, and assemble subassemblies with precision using engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specs.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and templates to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Bodywork & Surface Preparation
- Perform full-spectrum bodywork, including panel straightening, metal shaping, filler work, sanding, leveling, and surface correction.
- Repair dents, weld marks, seams, and imperfections to achieve smooth, uniform surfaces suitable for high-end finishing.
- Apply primer, base coats, top coats, clear coats, and protective coatings using HVLP or high-transfer efficiency equipment.
- Mix, match, and adjust paint materials to achieve color accuracy and consistent finish quality.
- Perform wet sanding, buffing, polishing, edge radiusing, and quality checks to produce automotive-level finishes on metal and composite surfaces.
- Maintain a clean, dust-free paint environment and manage curing/drying processes.
- Support prototype development, iterative testing, and refinement of new VVater technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering and CAD teams to validate manufacturability and propose design improvements.
- Provide rapid fabrication and finish adjustments during laboratory and field testing cycles.
- Maintain fabrication, painting, and finishing equipment (welders, brakes, grinders, paint guns, compressors).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to welding, grinding, painting, ventilation, PPE, and chemical handling.
- Maintain organized workspaces, proper consumable inventory, and documented workflow for production consistency.
- Absorb and assist with crating, assembly, packaging, and field installation when required.
