Bobtail Driver

Deliver loads of petroleum products to customer locations safely, efficiently, and on time as directed by dispatch. This role operates 24/7, 365 days a year, in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Fill Bobtail truck and deliver bulk quantities to residential and commercial tanks.
• Perform duties in compliance with local, state, federal regulations, and DDC procedures.
• Achieve delivery objectives as set forth by management.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report issues according to company policy and DOT regulations.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and follow direction from dispatch and management.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of applicable driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• Valid driver’s license for the state of operation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test, and Homeland Security background check.
• Current medical card.
• Fuel or lubricant hauling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to walk, squat, stoop, kneel, and bend repeatedly at each delivery location.
• Ability to enter and exit truck cab multiple times per day.
• Ability to climb on top of and inspect the trailer.
• Regularly pass DOT physical and maintain FMCSA drug and alcohol standards.
