About the Role
The Detailer performs various detailing and transportation tasks for new and pre-owned boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs to support TMBC Sales, Service, and Parts operations.
Responsibilities
- Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
- Washes, cleans, waxes, vacuums, and performs other detailing tasks for interiors and exteriors of boats for scheduled customer pickups, display, and service.
- Uses a forklift or tractor to unload incoming boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs, then transports them to storage lots, display areas, showroom floors, or customer delivery areas.
- Confirms packing lists or invoices for all boat loads or other product deliveries.
- Transports and stages customer boats and ATVs to service, rigging, and storage yards by moving units between locations as needed.
- Maintains an updated list of cleaning supplies and informs the Service Manager or Service Lead of needed items.
- Assists Rigger and Service Specialist with PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and VIN verification processes.
- Informs Service Manager or Service Lead of any unit concerns or required repairs.
- Performs grounds and facility maintenance as required.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Successful completion of DOT physical may be required.
Skills
- Ability to complete simple math calculations.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and team members.
- Ability to operate a forklift and tractor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
