Boat Care Engineer
About the role
Join Our Dynamic Team as a Boat Care Engineer at Bridge Marina. You will work with boats every day on the shores of Lake Hopatcong, interacting with a team who enjoys what they do and takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities
- Ensure boats are well maintained before, during, and after entering the Service Department, including launching, mooring, cleaning, covering, etc.
- Clean boats, assist with minor maintenance, and ensure overall care.
- Handle tasks such as moving, blocking, shrink-wrapping, and similar for trailer boats, dock boats, and move boats.
- Contribute to various projects, assisting technicians in repairs, maintenance of the service department, and similar.
- Support the Service Department, Boat Club, Boat Rental, and Marina guests by preparing boats and ensuring the property is in good condition.
- Maintain records, notes, and reports using a smart phone or tablet.
- Part of a larger team focused on creating a safe and fun boating experience.
Requirements

- Ability to operate powerboats up to 25ft
- Customer-centric mindset and awareness of collaborative teamwork
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in being on the water and spending time around boats and boaters
- Experience with or the ability to learn piloting boats around marina, hauling/launching, trailering, tractor use
- Welcoming, friendly, and optimistic personality
- Motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
- Desire for an energetic and devoted team environment
- Priority on safety for oneself and others
- Desire for continuous learning and growth
- Auto or marine cleaning experience, or relevant experience in auto/marine industry
- Experience working with hands in a shop or field environment

Pay
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule
Mon-Fri schedule approximately 8:30a-5:30p with some overtime and occasional Saturdays.
