Board Operator (Part-Time)

About the role

KRLD-AM (Audacy Dallas) is seeking a part-time Board Operator with broadcasting experience to join the Programming department, reporting to the Traffic Operations Manager. This on-site position is based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Operate the broadcast board, including digital editing, recording, and maintaining network feeds.
• Protect the company’s FCC license through compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor and maintain logs for additional radio stations.
• Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs.
• Perform light production work as required.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience preferred; familiarity with station format required.
• On-air experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to manipulate knobs, levers, and push buttons.
