About the Role

Join Salem Media Group Minneapolis as a Board Operator for our four-station cluster. This role offers hands-on experience with live broadcasts, voice tracking, and real studio equipment, perfect for audio enthusiasts looking to develop their skills in a dynamic radio environment.

Schedule

Flexible part-time position with ~10–15 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days. Ideal for students, creatives, or anyone passionate about broadcast operations.

Responsibilities

• Produce live and recorded radio and video programs and podcasts.
• Deliver live on-air weather updates with confidence.
• Record voice tracks for other programming.
• Operate and engineer live broadcast boards to ensure smooth, professional shows.
• Execute station formats to engage listeners.
• Maintain accurate program logs, edit live spots, and handle production and commercial audio tasks.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Windows-based computer systems.
• Flexibility for overnight shifts and weekends (radio operates 24/7).
• Proven reliability, attention to detail, and punctuality.

Qualifications

While a college education is preferred, it’s not required—your passion and technical skills matter most. We’re looking for a tech-savvy audio enthusiast who thrives under pressure, is detail-oriented, and enjoys teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
