Board Member for Animal Rescue Non-Profit

About the role

Join us in making a difference for abandoned and abused pets. We are seeking individuals passionate about animal welfare to join our Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing policies and procedures to support our mission
• Act as community ambassadors to share our mission with the public
• Participate in fundraising, marketing, PR, legal, and accounting duties - depending on your skills
• Attend bi-annual or as-needed board meetings - remotely or in person
• Support GARC in meeting goals and keeping promises to the public, donors, and beneficiaries

Requirements

• Live near or in driving distance of Sapulpa, Oklahoma
• Passionate about animal welfare
• Skills in communications, writing, PR, graphic design, accounting, law, or animal care and training are a plus

Qualifications

Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and community outreach is beneficial but not required.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in animal welfare and rescue work
