Board Member
About the role
The YNPN Phoenix Board of Directors serves as the leadership team for the organization. Members and interns work together to guide the strategic direction of YNPN Phoenix while also supporting key operational activities.
Expectations
Term Commitment: Serve a two-year term.
Meeting Participation: Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person, ~1.5 hrs long); Participate in additional meetings as needed, including committee meetings and project huddles.
Committee Service: Board members actively serve on at least one standing committee (Membership, Finance, Communications, Programs).
Retreat Attendance: Attend two annual in-person board retreats held in July and December.
Event Participation: Attend at least 75% of YNPN Phoenix programs and events, including Board meetings.
Give/Get Commitment: Support a term Give/Get goal of $500 through personal giving, sponsorships, referrals, fundraising efforts, or in-kind donations.
Community Ambassador: Represent and promote YNPN Phoenix within the Greater Phoenix community.
Time Commitment: Dedicate approximately 5–6 hours per week to board service, including meetings, committee work, and independent projects.
Goal Setting: Establish and work toward personal leadership and board service goals during your term.
