About the role

Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Utilization Review services. We are expanding our physician panel to offer non-traditional work and supplemental income opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a caseload customized to your schedule.
• Assess medical necessity using evidence-based guidelines.
• Evaluate medical treatments based on the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS), Official Disability Guidelines (ODG), and medicolegal writing.
• Conduct binding appeals for disputes arising from the denial or modification of workers' compensation treatment requests.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted California Medical License.
• Active Practice.
• Board Certified in Occupational Medicine.

Qualifications

• Experience in the California Independent Medical Review (IMR) process.

Skills

• Knowledge of the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS).
• Understanding of the Official Disability Guidelines (ODG).
• Medicolegal writing skills.
