Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Clinical Services:
    • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), skill-based assessments, and other relevant evaluations
    • Develop individualized, function-based treatment plans that are socially valid and developmentally appropriate
    • Design and monitor skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using evidence-based practices
    • Analyze data regularly to make timely and clinically sound treatment decisions
    • Ensure programming promotes assent, dignity, and client quality of life
    • Provide direct clinical services as needed based on client needs and funding requirements
  • Supervision & Staff Development:
    • Provide ongoing supervision and training to RBTs/BTs in accordance with BACB and funding source requirements
    • Model ethical, compassionate, and effective clinical practices
    • Conduct performance feedback, competency assessments, and corrective coaching as needed
    • Support staff with behavior management, co-regulation strategies, and clinical problem-solving
    • Mentor supervisees pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification when applicable
  • Family & Team Collaboration:
    • Partner with caregivers to provide parent training and support generalization of skills
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with families regarding progress, barriers, and expectations
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers (e.g., SLPs, OTs, educators) when appropriate
    • Participate in treatment team meetings and IEP meetings as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB
  • Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
  • Experience conducting assessments and supervising RBTs/BTs
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Able to provide constructive feedback and manage clinical priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a home and/or clinic-based ABA setting
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care, assent-based practices, and compassionate ABA models
  • Experience with insurance-funded services and authorization requirements
  • Leadership or mentorship experience

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to engage in active sessions, including sitting, standing, bending, and moving with clients
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • May require travel between clinic, home, or community settings
