Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales of Richelieu product solutions through structured consultative sales discussions.
- Serve as a business advisor towards customers, enabling them to solve problems and increase business results.
- Build a thriving business of your own by increasing Board and Panel product sales as a specialist in those categories.
- Schedule and hold face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers, learning about their business needs.
- Maintain accountability for the growth of your territory, both through new customer acquisition and the development of existing relationships.
- Identify and analyze past buying patterns of current accounts, and brainstorm ways to become their stronger, more inclusive supplier.
- Provide a state of the art customer service experience, positioning yourself as their desired one-stop shop.
- Educate yourself on, and continuously stay up to date with, Richelieu's product offerings as well as ever-changing market conditions and competitive analysis.
- Hold responsibility for system information and reporting in CRM application.
Requirements
- Successful outside sales experience with wood panels, laminates, and boards (ideally in the kitchen and/or bath space).
- Passionate, proactive, coachable, strong work ethic.
- Ability to schedule and manage your own time, delivering on the activities that produce results.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, planning, organizing, and monitoring skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; able to effectively use Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams for daily responsibilities and tasks.
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software an asset.
- University degree preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
Must have your own independent, reliable transportation due to regular automobile travel requirements.
This position requires working "in the field," making in-person visits to customers three to four days per week.
