BMS Wrestling Coach (3 positions available)

About the role

The Baker School District is seeking three candidates for the position of Wrestling Coach at Baker Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary is commensurate with placement on the Extra Duty Salary Schedule, ranging from $2,726 to $3,445 for the sport season. Placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon paid school district experience as a Wrestling Coach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive wrestling program that meets the needs of students and promotes athletic excellence.
• Coach team practices and matches, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and rules.
• Work closely with other coaches, administrators, and support staff to coordinate team activities and events.
• Maintain accurate records of team performance and player progress.
• Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience coaching wrestling at the high school level.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wrestling techniques and rules.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student athletes.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Pass a background check.

• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $2,726 to $3,445 for the sport season, based on the Extra Duty Salary Schedule.

Schedule

The coach will be responsible for attending team practices and matches, as well as coordinating team activities and events. Evening and weekend availability may be required.
