Bluebonnet Ford - Paint Prepper

About the role

The Paint Prepper plays a critical role in the vehicle reconditioning process by ensuring all surfaces are properly prepared for painting. This position supports the overall quality of paint finishes and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Buff and polish paint work from the painter.
• Communicate status of all work to estimator and painter.
• Quality inspect body work.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Attend weekly department meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong "people" skills and a genuine desire to service the client.
• A positive attitude and willingness to be a team member.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to utilize manual dexterity as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
