Blow Mold Master Operation Technician - 3rd Shift
Job Summary
Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is excited to announce an opening for a Blow Mold Master Operator Technician 3rd Shift position. We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay with great growth opportunities. 3rd Shift Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 for external candidates is available at $22.25/hr. + $1.50/hr. Shift Dif. (2nd and 3rd Shift).
General Purpose
Demonstrate proficiency in a range of processes, procedures, and equipment to perform various operator roles, including those of a highly skilled nature, in the plant production environment. Serve as a resource to others to solve problems and/or assist with operator activities or production equipment.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include highly skilled / senior-level processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Blend/Filler/CIP/Retort/ Evaporator/Pasteurizer operators).
- This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs.
- Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line.
- Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced.
- Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
- Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment; complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
- Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complicated operating difficulties.
- Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information.
- Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
- Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
- Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods industry.
Education And Experience
Considerable knowledge of plant operations. Proficiency with company computer systems. Able to operate production equipment, components, and peripheral accessories. Able to take initiative in performing job and seek increased responsibilities. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to follow directions and meet deadlines. Able to take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems. Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Qualifications
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
