Blood Production Specialist - 2nd shift (3:30PM– 12AM) - Milwaukee, WI

When You Will Work

2nd Shift: 3:30PM-12AM
We have 2 open positions with work schedule Monday-Friday & Tuesday-Saturday
Full Time, Non-Exempt role
Training schedule: will take place on 1st shift for initial 1-3 months.

Shift differentials:
Evenings (after 6:00pm) - $1.50/hr.
Weekends - $2.00/hr.

Pay

The target salary for this position is $18.40 per hour. The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures Red Blood Cells (RBCs), Fresh Frozen Plasma and Recovered Plasma
• Manufactures Neonatal RBCs
• Sterile docks Pedipaks to Platelet Apheresis, Neonatal RBCs
• Performs leukoreduction of Whole Bloods and RBCs
• Manufactures Cryoprecipitate, Pooled Cryoprecipitate and Cryo Reduced Plasma
• Labels products to meet regulatory and inventory requirements
• Manufactures additional specialty products as needed by customer base
• Follows procedures pertaining to the proper storage of RBCs, platelet products and frozen products
• Performs and documents equipment function checks and QC as required
• Maintains a level of productivity that allows department to achieve production goals
• Works weekend, holiday rotations and on-call, as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Less than 1 year or 1-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Ability to read, interpret, and write documents such as operating forms, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals required
• Above average attention to detail and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions required
