Blood Product Storage and Distribution Technician

About the role

Join a vital humanitarian team as a Distribution Technician, responsible for receiving, processing, packing, and shipping blood products and samples for hospital orders.

Responsibilities

• Triage orders based on urgency
• Carefully pack products with temperature regulation
• Maintain accurate records for traceability
• Perform inventory management to meet quality standards and production goals
• Communicate effectively with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors to ensure positive interactions and customer focus
• Make hospital deliveries as needed
• Perform visual inspections to identify and quarantine unacceptable products

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Two years' experience in regulatory, distribution, or manufacturing environments or equivalent education and experience
• Good computer skills
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Strong decision-making abilities
• Possibility of requiring a valid driver's license

Physical requirements

• Standing for extended periods
• Stretching and lifting objects up to 50 pounds
• Working in cold environments
• Wearing protective gear as needed
