Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, pack, and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
  • Triage orders based on urgency, select and pack life-saving blood products with temperature-regulating materials to ensure safe transport.
  • Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Maintain product records to preserve traceability.
  • Ensure products/samples meet release criteria while meeting production goals.
  • Practice good inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping.
  • Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Perform data entry for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping; maintain accurate physical and electronic records.
  • Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspections and departmental information to meet quality and time standards.
  • Identify, quarantine, and dispose of products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements.
  • May make hospital deliveries as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Position may require a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires standing, stretching, stooping, and bending for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • May work in walk-in refrigerators/freezers for extended periods.
  • May be required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, and face shields.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Rotating weekends and on-call required.

Pay

$18.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials. Salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location where the work is performed and may vary based on skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
