About the role
Join a close-knit team of Blood Bank Technologists in our transfusion medicine department at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. Provide care for patients with laboratory procedures and maintain inventory of blood and blood products.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory procedures in preparing and dispensing blood and blood products as ordered by physicians.
- Maintain inventory of blood and blood products for patients in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience).
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department.
Qualifications
Preferred criteria include:
- ASCP certification.
- Prior Blood Bank experience.
