About the role

We are seeking a Hospital Laboratory Supervisor to provide expertise and champion results. The role involves supervising technical and non-technical laboratory personnel, assigning areas and shifts, and overseeing processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technical and non-technical laboratory personnel
• Assign areas and shifts
• Supervise and/or participate in processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance
• Develop monitoring systems for quality assessment and improvement data
• Monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies, and expenses
• Screen, interview, and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department

Qualifications

• A 2-Year/Associate Degree in Science or Medical Technology is required
• A 4-Year/Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology is helpful
• A State of Florida Supervisor’s License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process is required
• 5 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist is required
• Prior supervisory experience is beneficial
• Licensure in 3 technical specialties is preferred
