Blockchain Developer
Job Description
The Senior Blockchain Developer will be responsible for tokenizing financial products and commodities for a major financial investment company. This role involves building and deploying secure, production-grade smart contracts, working across blockchain architecture, smart contracts, tooling, and Web3 application integration.
What's in it for you?
- Excellent salary, up to $200,000 USD per year
- Permanent, full-time opportunity
- Long-term project with serious institutional backing
- Genuine ownership of real world asset tokenisation for financial products and commodities
- Direct exposure to some of the world's leading financial institutions
- Work across smart contracts, Web3 integration and blockchain architecture at a senior level
- A chance to work on a high-value, highly confidential institutional blockchain project, not just another dApp
More about the client and the role
The project is focused on real world asset tokenisation, covering financial products and commodities, for a major financial investment company. We're looking for a senior developer to take responsibility for delivery, not just contribute to it. You'll work across blockchain architecture, smart contracts, tooling and Web3 application integration. The role involves building and deploying secure, production-grade smart contracts. You'll support development across EVM and potentially non-EVM ecosystems. You'll work with tools such as Hardhat, Foundry and Remix IDE. You'll take the lead on smart contract security, gas optimisation and best practice standards. You'll help connect blockchain contracts into front-end applications using tools such as ethers.js, viem, MetaMask, React and TypeScript. Given the nature of the work, you'll be operating under strong NDAs throughout.
Who are we looking for?
- Senior-level experience as a Blockchain Developer, Smart Contract Developer or Web3 Developer
- Proven track record of taking ownership of delivery on production blockchain projects, not just contributing to them
- Proven experience specifically in real world asset tokenisation, this is essential, not just desirable
- Strong experience with Solidity and EVM-compatible blockchain development
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, decentralised architecture and consensus mechanisms
- Strong experience with smart contract security, including reentrancy, front-running and integer overflows or underflows
- Experience using tools such as Hardhat, Foundry, Remix IDE or OpenZeppelin
- Strong understanding of gas optimisation and efficient smart contract design
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with React and Web3 libraries such as ethers.js or viem would be really useful
- Experience with Rust, Move, Vyper, Solana, Aptos, Sui or Substrate would be a bonus
- Experience with financial products or commodities tokenisation specifically is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working under strict confidentiality and NDA arrangements
Important to know before applying
- You must be based in the USA or Canada. This is a firm requirement due to data security protections, not just a preference.
- You must have proven, demonstrable experience in real world asset tokenisation. This is a minimum requirement, not a nice-to-have.
- Only candidates who meet this minimum criteria, are based in the required location and have proven experience in this specific area will be considered.
- Only those shortlisted will be contacted.
- An enhanced security check will be carried out before hire.
- Full references will be checked, and career history will be investigated given the sensitivity and level of the work involved.
