About the Role

At Actus Nutrition, we are dedicated to creating high-quality ingredients that optimize health and nutrition. We are currently seeking a Blender/Dispense Operator to join our Wautoma team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team performance.

Responsibilities

• Train and support employees on safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Monitor performance, encourage teamwork, recognize good work, and address performance concerns.
• Support and promote the Actus Nutrition Job Rotation Program.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions.
• Complete and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Verify raw material receipts and confirm materials match production requirements.
• Ensure ingredients are stored in the correct locations and inventory transfers are recorded accurately.
• Complete inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
• Follow and manage allergen control and sanitation procedures.
• Verify all raw materials meet quality standards before use.
• Ensure materials are weighed accurately, placed on the correct pallets, and recorded properly.
• Review pallet builds to confirm ingredient accuracy.
• Safely operate blending equipment and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and One Point Lessons (OPLs).
• Train and support team members on equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Review production paperwork for accuracy before submitting it to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC).
• Train operators on completing production documents correctly and verify all paperwork is accurate.
• Oversee paperwork review and approval before submission to management.
• Manage product changeovers to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Report quality, safety, production, and equipment issues to management and suggest improvements.
• Track, investigate, and help resolve equipment and maintenance issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in blending and/or dispensing operations is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of computer software applications.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain one.

Pay

$25.50 USD per hour plus a $3.00 shift premium.

Schedule

Rotation: 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
