Blending Lead

About the role

Sun Orchard is the undisputed market leader in not-from-concentrate citrus ingredients and refreshments. We are seeking a Blending Lead to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Trains employees to ensure excellent performance.
• Assists supervisors with employee performance matters.
• Assigns and coordinates employee work to promote efficiency of operations.
• Ensures employees follow all company policies and procedures, including GMPs, Safety and Quality requirements.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Inspects all job assignments for quality and completion.
• Inspects blending areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Maintains records such as blending reports.
• Distributes copies of blending report to appropriate employees.
• Ensures all required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Works closely with Quality Assurance, Production Planning and Receiving to complete jobs accurately and on time.
• Conducts training and safety meetings as required on a regular basis.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or food production experience required.
• Language/Communications: Ability to read and interpret basic instructional details and related information.
• Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Computer Skills: Competency with Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Manufacturing software; and general email writing and online research skills.
