Blend Technician I - 2nd Shift

SUMMARY: The Blend Technician I is responsible for performing basic blending operations on aerospace components to meet quality standards and customer specifications. This position involves working with precision equipment and tools to ensure smooth surfaces, removal of defects, and restoration of parts to their original specifications. Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform basic blending, smoothing, contouring, and deburring of aerospace components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.Follow work orders, technical instructions, standard practice manuals, and established procedures to complete assigned work.Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, technical drawings, and component specificationsIdentify and correct minor surface defects such as dents, scratches, or gouges on surfaces.Learn to use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to verify tolerances and ensure proper part dimensions.Conduct visual inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and report quality concerns to appropriate team memberMaintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspections conducted.Perform minor assembly and disassembly of engine components according to standard practice manuals and maintenance instructions.Other duties as assigned.
