Bldg & Env Services Technician

This recruitment is for two Building & Environmental Services Tech positions; applying will consider you for both openings.

About the role

This position supports the daily cleaning and upkeep of UNC's parking decks to ensure safe and clean facilities for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and cleaning tasks within parking garages, including:
• Picking up trash
• Sweeping drive aisles and stairwells
• Cleaning elevators and lobbies
• Emptying trash cans
• Maintaining common areas throughout the decks
• Operate equipment such as blowers and ride-on sweepers
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks:
• Power washing stairwells
• Wiping handrails and doors
• Cleaning elevator interiors
• Work outdoors in parking facilities
• Respond during adverse weather events, including snow and ice removal from decks and pedestrian areas
