This role supports the assembly, testing, reconditioning, and movement of equipment used in environmental protection systems. Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting on small tanks and piping systems to meet SSPC surface cleanliness and profile requirements
- Prepare equipment and surfaces for painting and coating through cleaning, solvent wiping, taping, and masking
- Mix and apply paints and linings in accordance with manufacturer specifications and application requirements
- Inspect surface preparation and coating applications for quality, compliance, and defects, making repairs as needed
- Document inspection results, monitor ambient conditions, and verify coating thickness and surface profiles using required gauges and tools
- Operate forklifts and assist with blasting, painting, and other production-related tasks as required
- Maintain compliance with company safety procedures, policies, and quality standards
This role includes varied, active work—no two days look the same.
Requirements
- 1+ years of general labor experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Sand blasting experience preferred
- Ability to read basic instructions and drawings
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset
