Bistro Starbucks Attendant

Description Our team is seeking a friendly, dependable, and adaptable Part-Time Bistro Attendant to join us at the Courtyard San Diego Gaslamp/Convention Center! As a Bistro Attendant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our guests. You will prepare and serve made-to-order food and beverage items, assist with guest orders, process transactions, maintain a clean and organized Bistro, and provide friendly, efficient service throughout each shift. We’re looking for a team player who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to create a great guest experience. This position is scheduled primarily for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Candidates must be available to work these days. Schedule and hours may vary based on business needs. This position may require flexible scheduling availability. Requirements Job Requirements Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner while providing prompt and attentive serviceTake guest orders, prepare and cook made-to-order food items, and serve food and beverages according to brand standardsPrepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, beer, wine, and other Bistro offerings as applicableAccurately process guest transactions using the point-of-sale systemCreate a positive Bistro experience for guests from ordering through the completion of serviceReceive, stock, and organize food, beverage, and supply deliveries while ensuring the Bistro remains properly stocked throughout serviceFollow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and inviting Bistro, including tables, counters, food preparation areas, equipment, and floorsComplete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities as assignedAssist other hotel departments and team members when needed to support the overall guest experience Job Qualifications Friendly, dependable, and highly motivated team player with a strong commitment to guest serviceAbility to work independently while also contributing to a team environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain organized and provide efficient service in a fast-paced environmentAbility to anticipate guest needs and identify and resolve service issues appropriatelyReadily available and approachable to guests while maintaining a professional and welcoming presenceAbility to safely prepare and handle food and beverages in accordance with established standardsAbility to verify identification and responsibly monitor alcoholic beverage service and consumptionPrevious food and beverage, barista, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not requiredFlexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
