Bistro Server - AM - Bistro

About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting guests in the Bistro in an efficient and courteous manner. The role involves promoting the Bistro, taking orders, and preparing and delivering food and beverage orders while adhering to health regulations and White Lodging’s quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service/Point of Sale:
  • Greets all guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Accurately and quickly takes, enters, prepares, and delivers guest orders according to standards.
  • Responds to guest needs and provides high-quality service.
  • Assists other associates to meet guest needs.
  • Operates micros operating system and cash register efficiently.
  • Follows all cash handling/POS procedures to ensure accurate closing of guest checks.
• Counter Sales/Food Preparation:
  • Answers questions about menu items, specials, and prices.
  • Familiar with preparation methods and ingredients to address dietary/allergy concerns.
  • Actively up-sells food and beverage items to maximize revenue.
  • Monitors and replenishes stock of prepared menu items.
  • Prepares food in a timely manner and operates the Turbo Chef according to standards.
• Barista/Beverage Duties:
  • Brews coffee and prepares coffee and other drinks according to specific recipes.
  • Assists the Bartender with serving alcoholic beverages while following local liquor laws.
• Bussing/Cleaning:
  • Disposes of garbage, picks up trays, and re-stocks dishes on the line.
  • Clears and wipes down tables and counters.
  • Transfers full dish tubs to the dish room and assists with washing dishes as needed.
• Paperwork:
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists with inventory and completes inventory par sheets.
• Safety/Risk Management:
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with White Lodging, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assists in maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the Bistro, kitchen, and dish room.
  • Follows procedures for guest and associate incidents.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
• Self-Management:
  • Produces required work volume by planning, organizing, and prioritizing duties.
  • Adheres to White Lodging grooming, appearance standards, and general work rules.
  • Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
• Miscellaneous/Other Duties:
  • Completes all required side work and assists wherever necessary.
  • Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the Bistro experience.
  • May set up, maintain, and take down banquet areas according to function specifications.
  • Provides food and beverage service to clients at business or social functions in a friendly manner.

Must pass certification quiz/test for the position. Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures is required. Complete Chemical Training and Bloodborne Pathogen Training.
