About the role
Applies company pesticide products and/or exclusion tactics to residential locations according to schedule and as needed based on service requests; calls customers to confirm scheduled services; completes required production forms; assists in sales to current customers.
Responsibilities
- Performs bird exclusion services to clients as needed
- Builds netting
- Stays in constant contact with Supervisor
- Completes and submits daily service reports as required
- Advises customers of potential problems
- Keeps management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
- Maintains service records in accordance with EPA standards
- Maintains service equipment and vehicle in clean and proper operating condition
- Maintains a safe driving record
- Completes federal, state, local and company required training programs within prescribed time limits for proper certification
- Available to work flexible hours as required by customer needs, including evenings, nights, and/or weekends
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- OSHA certification preferred
- Scaffolding certification a plus
- Able to work elevated heights
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, or local regulations
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Background in construction or maintenance preferred
- Immediately report to management any loss of required license
Physical Demands
- Move up to 10 pounds regularly, and 11-20 lbs frequently, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects
- Exert up to 50 lbs of force to move objects occasionally
- Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc., using legs and/or hands and arms in a manner that exceeds ordinary locomotion
- Maintain balance when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
- Bend legs and spine downward and forward to crouch or squat, and bend legs at the knee to kneel, including crawling on hands and knees or hands and feet
- Push objects with sustained force using upper extremities, and drag, draw, haul, or tug objects with sustained motion
- Extend hands and arms in any direction to reach, lift, or carry objects, requiring substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles
- Use touch of skin, particularly fingertips, to perceive attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, or texture
- Express or exchange ideas through spoken word at an easily audible volume and receive detailed information through oral communication
- Make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment
- Operate a motor vehicle and use electrically and manually powered hand tools for securing objects to surfaces
Pay
Base Pay Range: $41,800.00 - $74,800.00 yearly. Starting pay may vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment.
