About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support laboratory testing and quality operations within a GMP-regulated environment. This role is responsible for performing routine laboratory activities, supporting microbiological and analytical testing, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing and support activities following approved procedures
- Conduct USP Particulate Matter Testing and USP Bacterial Endotoxin Testing
- Support laboratory validation activities under supervision
- Prepare samples and materials for testing and analysis
- Utilize microscopes and laboratory instrumentation to support testing activities
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure data integrity
- Perform general laboratory techniques including:
- Filtration
- Pipetting
- Glassware washing
- Sample preparation
- Aseptic processing
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
- Ensure laboratory supplies and consumables are stocked and available
- Order and track laboratory materials as needed
- Verify equipment maintenance and calibration status before use
- Support routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities
- Document calibration and maintenance activities according to established procedures
- Report equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in: Microbiology, Biology, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline
- Laboratory testing experience in a regulated environment
- Knowledge of general laboratory techniques including: Pipetting, Filtration, Aseptic Technique, Microscopy, GMP
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Proficiency with: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately
