About the Role

The Biostatistician Specialist utilizes advanced expertise to oversee specialized statistical analyses, mentor junior staff, and contribute to high-impact research projects. This role demands significant independent judgment and the ability to lead specific biostatistical components of large studies. Specialists often develop new statistical methodologies, address complex data challenges, and ensure the robustness and accuracy of statistical results. The role plays a critical part in interpreting study findings and developing innovative solutions to statistical problems.

As a member of the CCTS Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) Unit, the Specialist implements specialized statistical analyses and contributes to high-impact research projects. With a great deal of independence, the Specialist executes specific biostatistical components of studies, prepares written summaries of statistical design and analyses for manuscripts or grant submissions, and supports projects through preparatory work, investigator engagement, and subsequent biostatistical components. The Specialist also tracks all BERD-related engagements in the CCTS's database and ensures consultative effort is accurately reflected.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience OR
  • Master's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven (7) years of related experience
  • Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement

  • Strong understanding of statistical applications and methods supporting the CCTS mission, goals, and implementation strategies to advance rigorous, reproducible, and transparent clinical investigation

Pay

Salary Range: $67,070 - $108,990

Schedule
