Biostatistician II

About the role

CICONIX, LLC is seeking a Biostatistician II to support the Naval Medical Research Unit - San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) team. This role involves leading statistical design, advanced modeling, simulation analytics, and methodological oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical design of experiments
• Perform advanced modeling and simulation analytics
• Advise Principal Investigators (PIs) on research methodology and funding proposals
• Review and validate statistical outputs for publication
• Prepare graphic representations of data for presentation and publication
• Report findings of research in forms such as letters to the fleet, technical reports, and articles in scientific journals
• Contribute to the design of experiments, including literature search and review, hypotheses generation, power analyses, pilot testing, and other activities related to experimental design
• Aid in funding proposal efforts, including idea conceptualization and proposal writing
• Support data collection, modeling, and analysis for research projects related to directed energy health effects
• Manage and analyze internal and external medical modeling and simulation data sets, ensuring data integrity and performing statistical analysis

Requirements

• Master's Degree OR PhD in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a Master's degree, or minimum 1 year of experience with a PhD
• Research-related experience with statistical modeling software

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and successful background investigation required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• Willingness to comply with government vaccination requirements
