Biostatistician I - Rehabilitation and Human Performance

About the role

The Biostatistician I supports clinical projects by providing statistical support, including study design, sample size and protocol development. Responsibilities include preparing statistical analysis plans, performing and interpreting analyses, and collaborating with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares statistical analysis plans, timelines, and performs and interprets basic and complex analyses.
• Documents analyses, creates summaries, and presents results to requestors.
• Writes statistical text for study reports and clinical publications.
• Prepares analysis plans and methods for inclusion in abstracts, manuscripts, and grants.
• Identifies and addresses potential data problems from analytic queries.
• Collaborates with principal investigators, sponsors, and external representatives to ensure accurate and unbiased presentation of project results.
• Provides quality review on statistical analysis plans to ensure consistency with protocol and adequacy to meet objectives.
• Adheres to standard operating procedures of the functional department.
• Provides consultation on statistical issues related to the project.
• Collaborates with statistical programmers to identify and resolve data problems.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in biostatistics, computational biology, or related field.
• One to two years of biostatistics or related experience in clinical research preferred.
• Advanced experience in SAS, R, or similar applications.
