Biostatistician - Global Pediatric Medicine
About the role
The Biostatistician provides knowledge in statistical analysis to institutional staff interested in conducting clinical or experimental studies or to other researchers as designated by grant relationships. The Biostatistician progresses towards working independently with investigators. Some direct communication with investigators is expected.
Responsibilities
- Provide statistical expertise to support clinical and experimental study design and data analysis.
- Collaborate with investigators to interpret and communicate statistical findings.
- Develop and maintain statistical models and analyses for research projects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of statistical methods and procedures.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations of statistical results.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Experience in biostatistical analysis, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in regulatory submissions and compliance.
- Experience with clinical trial data management systems.
Skills
- Statistical modeling and analysis.

- Software proficiency (SAS, R, Python).

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $86,320 - $154,960 per year for the role of Biostatistician - Global Pediatric Medicine.
