Bioprocess Technician BPT IV (Day Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM)

About the role

Our pharmaceutical manufacturing team relies on a dedicated and agile group of professionals to ensure patients and physicians have access to the medicines they need.

Responsibilities

• Executes manufacturing operations on the production floor for Downstream/Purification with varying levels of automation.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records for unit operations.
• Supports operation of manufacturing equipment and resolves issues related to process equipment commissioning, qualification, and validation.
• Drives troubleshooting, technical support, and analysis of equipment, automation, and process issues on the manufacturing floor.
• Ensures Right First Time and continuous improvement execution, timely review of daily documentation, and completes data entry.
• Identifies and communicates process and compliance concerns in real time, supports audits, and implements improvements.
• Collaborates with the Subject Matter Expert for manufacturing operations in support of Quality Test Studies (QTS) investigations and Corrective Action Preventative Actions (CAPA) implementations.
• Remains current on assigned training and implements Lean Manufacturing, Sustainability, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Collaborates in the escalation process through various levels of management when operations, personnel safety, equipment functionality, product supply, or quality compliance are at risk.
• Ensures work requests are generated when issues arise with facility or manufacturing equipment.
• Proficient in enterprise systems to support manufacturing operations including SAP, LIMS, AMPS, PDOCS, and QTS.
• Ensures and participates in the performance of cleaning, inventory, and maintaining the facility in a safe and GMP-compliant manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience, particularly in a pharmaceutical or other cGMP environment, or Associate degree plus 2 years of work experience, or Bachelors degree plus 0 years of work experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting production equipment.
• A strong understanding of cGMP and safety regulations.
• Experience in a clean room environment.
• Competence in using automated and enterprise systems.
• Effective cross-functional communication skills.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Moderate repetitive standing, sitting, bending, and ladder climbing on a daily basis.
• Requires the moving of heavy equipment and the ability to lift ~40 pounds.
• Requires knowledge of the operational equipment.
• Required to assist in solving problems regarding site assessment, specific units used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Must follow SOPs, MBRs, and use a multitude of enterprise systems including SAP, Delta-V, etc.

Other Job Details

• The salary for this position ranges from $25.88 to $43.14 per hour.
• In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
