BioPlus Authorization Rep

About the role

The Authorization Representative I will be responsible for completing and submitting drug re‑authorization forms for patients whose health plan requires them.

Responsibilities

• Enter re‑authorizations into the portal and ensure accurate completion of re‑authorization forms
• Submit completed re‑authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans
• Maintain a log of all re‑authorizations submitted
• Follow up with the patient’s insurance company or physician office by phone, email or spreadsheets to track approval/denial status

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience processing pharmacy prior authorizations (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Skills

• Specialty pharmacy experience (highly preferred)
