Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and calibration of general, advanced, and specialty biomedical equipment (including PCs, networks, and imaging devices).
- Lead projects, mentor BMET I & II staff, coordinate vendor activities, and maintain expertise through ongoing training.
- Participate in on-call rotations and travel between affiliate sites as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the CMMS system, maintain equipment inventory, and adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and all state/federal regulations.
- Communicate equipment status and service updates to clinical staff, provide education on proper use, and support safe, effective patient care delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or other Technology/IT related program; military Biomedical Engineering Technician course graduate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) year’s documented Biomedical Engineering Technology experience AND currently meets all BMET III job function requirements required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (DRLC1IA, DRLC1IL, DRLC1WI) required. AUTOINS required for driving a personal vehicle.
