About the Role
Performs routine scheduled and unscheduled services on a variety of military medical material equipment.
Trains students in the use of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and service procedures on medical equipment found in military Medical Material Sets and Dental Equipment Sets.
Performs all aspects of set-up and recovery of medical equipment in a classroom and field environment.
Serves as a primary instructor on 2D/ 3D computer design software (ex: AutoDise) as pertains to biomedical set-up planning, equipment and 3D component printing.
Provides cross-training to staff on the proper use of medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine scheduled and unscheduled services on a variety of military medical material equipment.
- Trains students in the use of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and service procedures on medical equipment found in military Medical Material Sets and Dental Equipment Sets.
- Performs all aspects of set-up and recovery of medical equipment in a classroom and field environment.
- Serves as a primary instructor on 2D/ 3D computer design software (ex: AutoDise) as pertains to biomedical set-up planning, equipment and 3D component printing.
- Provides cross-training to staff on the proper use of medical equipment.
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of recent experience as a medical equipment repairer.
- Experience with Deployable Medical Systems (DEPMEDS) and field medical unit equipment is desirable.
- Experience with Army Regulations (AR)/publications that specify medical equipment maintenance standards is a plus.
- Completion of the Department of Defense (DoD) Biomedical Equipment Repair (U.S. Army MOS 68A) course, or equivalent military or civilian training, is required.
- An Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with a concentration in bio-medical equipment maintenance, or equivalent (ex. 68A MOS)
- Must be computer literate and capable of learning the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) system authorized for use by the site.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Currently forklift certified or certified within 180 days of hire.
