About the role

The proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine at Xavier University (XUCOM) invites applications for a medical genetics faculty position in the Division of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics. These 12-month positions begin in June 2027 and may be considered for tenure or non-tenure track. Faculty will contribute to the creation, development, and delivery of the basic science medical curriculum, assessment design, scholarly activities, and student mentorship. XUCOM is the first osteopathic medical school at a Jesuit Catholic University, integrating Jesuit Catholic traditions and values with Osteopathic Principles and Practice.

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers curricular content within the College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Involved in the creation of assessments within the curriculum of the College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Advises and mentors students of XUCOM
• Contributes to the mission of the college through teaching, scholarship, and service
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Terminal degree in discipline related to medical education (PhD, MD, DO)
• Evidence of scholarly activity in genetics or molecular biology

Qualifications

• 1-3 years teaching experience in medical education or graduate education (preferred)
• Evidence of student mentoring (preferred)
