Biomedical Equipment Technician II - (FT Contract)
Summary
The Biomedical Equipment Technician II will provide technical support and maintenance services for medical equipment, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
What you will do
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on medical equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Order and install replacement parts as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Travel to various healthcare facilities in the United States
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of medical equipment and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass background and drug screen

Safety Requirements
- Maintain a safe working environment for self and others
- Follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices
- Ontime completion of safety trainings assignments
- Maintain sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colors
- Able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
