BioMedical Equipment Technician- Cayuga Medical Center- Full Time- Days

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on the Cayuga Health System medical equipment and systems.
• Verifies and adjusts to established performance specifications for electronic patient care equipment.
• Assists other trades as needed with electronic control problems.
• Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and services Cayuga Health Services clinical equipment including the digital TV systems and pneumatic tube systems.
• Investigates, guides and instructs others on the use and operation of clinical equipment.
• Maintains current knowledge levels on designated Cayuga Health system clinical equipment.
• Uses the hospital information system to enter and retrieve maintenance data.
• Completes monthly equipment reporting on preventive maintenance requirements.
• Participates in the Joint Commission's accreditation process when reviewing medical equipment.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Biomedical Electronics or 2+ years' experience supporting and servicing medical equipment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb, bend, and get into tight spaces while working off a ladder.
• Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center- 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850.
• Shift: 8am - 4pm.
• Travel: 25% local travel may be expected to assist other areas of the organization if needed.

Pay

$29.50 - $39.00 per hour
