Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in medical devices, performing necessary repairs or coordinating with vendors for service when required.
- Maintain detailed service records, documenting repairs, maintenance actions, and performance evaluations.
- Aid in the installation and configuration of new biomedical equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Determine associated support items of equipment in order to perform scheduled services and maintenance repairs and calibration; supply support and provisioning requirements; and training requirements.
- Prepare necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions of parts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field OR graduated from the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course OR CBET
- Four (4) years of field experience in performing and managing: initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, and repair of medical equipment within OEM guidance, advanced: diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostics equipment, advanced life support systems, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and frequently exposed to working near moving mechanical parts.
- Regularly exposed to noise levels.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, talk, or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include color vision.

Pay Range
