About the role

This role involves providing exceptional customer service by managing relationships through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain medical equipment at customer sites. It requires understanding the customer's business and competitive environment to generate service revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to customer entitlements, setting clear expectations, and meeting commitments and arrival times to address and resolve customer needs.
  • Understand the customer's business and competitive environment; generate service revenue.
  • Actively participate as a member of the regional work team; work to improve team processes and identify training gaps.
  • Seek out opportunities to increase capability and capacity (may be required to become qualified in multiple modalities, learns new tools).
  • Perform all administrative duties within established Philips, Provincial, and Federal regulatory requirements and timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders (FCO), preventative maintenance (PM), installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork.
  • Adhere to established training, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Utilize tools, support, resources, and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively.
  • Complete PMs, FCOs, installation and all related tasks (diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems).

Requirements

Requires 1+ years of experience installing, servicing, and/or maintaining medical equipment or 3+ years in another electromechanical industry. General biomed, pharmacy automation, patient monitoring, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, and infusion pump experience highly preferred. This is a multimodality and multivendor position. This position will also be cross-trained in imaging systems.

Skills include the ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment. A college diploma in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma is highly preferred.

Must be able to safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials; wear all required personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

Full-time presence in the company's facilities is required for onsite roles. Field roles are done outside the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Benefits

The role offers an annual pay range of $51,100 to $80,300, plus on-call pay, training, and advancement opportunities. Other compensation may include an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives. Pay

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Additional Information: Canadian work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future. Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Richmond Hill and Vaughan, ON.
