About the role

As a Biomedical Services Specialist at DaVita, you’ll be trained to repair and regularly service our dialysis machines. You will become part of a team that values work-life balance and prioritizes your personal and professional growth. This role primarily covers our Mt. Kisco, NY area and includes on-call pay and mileage reimbursement.

DaVita has an open position for a Biomedical Services Specialist who ensures our life-giving dialysis treatments remain "up and running" every day in our clinics. Responsibilities

  • Repair and service dialysis machines regularly.
  • Respond to emergency service requests at clinics and hospitals in the Mt. Kisco area.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to meet clinic needs, including after-hours requests.
  • Communicate openly and frequently with teammates.
  • Use MS Office applications, the internet, and DaVita-specific tools for troubleshooting and documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (GED) – accredited HSD or GED required at time of onboarding.
  • A valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Close proximity to clinics and hospitals in the Mt. Kisco, NY area for emergency response coverage.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet navigation.
  • Mechanical aptitude, electronics knowledge, and diagnostic skills (prior experience preferred but not required).
  • Availability for on-call rotations as needed.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $26.00 - $39.00/hour. Specific rates are as follows:

  • Biomed Services Specialist Resident: $26.00 - $30.00/hour.
  • New York Exempt (annual salary):
    • New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year.
    • Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year.
    • Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year.
  • New York Non-exempt (hourly):
    • New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour.
    • Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour.
    • Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour.

Compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, including a 401k match and healthcare coverage.
