Biology Teacher

JOB GOAL:

• To provide an approved educational program
• To establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth
• To help students develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for continued education
• To maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate for Biology (K-12) or ability to obtain certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program
• Holder of Certificates of Eligibility must complete the 50-hour pre-professional experience as required by the NJ Department of Education
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
