Biology Masters

About the role

We're looking for biology experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and we need people with deep scientific knowledge to help these systems reason better, solve harder problems, and produce more accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, advanced biology problems to rigorously test AI performance
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions grounded in scientific logic
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
• Collaborate with researchers to refine evaluation benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Masters-level biology topics
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI models

Requirements

• Pursuing or holding a Masters degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced biology domains
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
• Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating quality
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
• No prior AI experience required

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
• Familiarity with large language models or AI research workflows
• Background spanning multiple biology subfields (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, physiology)
