About the Role
Grove City College announces a full-time faculty opening in the Department of Biology beginning in July 2027. Faculty in a broad array of fields will be considered, including but not limited to molecular biology, developmental biology, neurobiology, entomology, or invertebrate zoology.
Responsibilities
- Teaching non-majors and introductory biology courses and/or labs
- Teaching advanced undergraduate courses in the individual's specific field
- Mentoring undergraduate students in research projects
Qualifications
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in classroom teaching
- A commitment to educating highly motivated students within the context of Grove City College's historic Christian perspective
- A strong, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Statement of Faith and Christian mission and vision of Grove City College is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Special consideration will be given to candidates who have interest in leading course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs)
- Candidates must be motivated to mentor undergraduate students in research projects
About the Department
Grove City College's Biology program includes five major programs of study: Biology, Biology leading to Secondary Education Certification, Biology-Health, Molecular Biology, and Conservation Biology. The Biology department includes eight full-time faculty and around 200 students.
Pay
