About the role
Biologists study living organisms and their relationship to the environment, spending a great deal of time researching in a laboratory setting. They may also focus on developing new products, working with engineers, business managers and other scientists to find cutting-edge scientific solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in a laboratory setting
- Develop new products and solutions in collaboration with engineers and other scientists
- Field work outside the classroom to identify flora and fauna of different biomes
- Examine population growth, resource allocation, and pollution in environmental science courses
- Engage in interdisciplinary projects with other scientists and professionals
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong academic performance in biology and related sciences
- Pass a background check
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Completion of an associate’s degree in biology or a related field
- Experience in laboratory settings and fieldwork
- Knowledge of scientific research methods and data analysis
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Pay
Salary range: $45,000 - $60,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
