About the role

The Biologist III will support Immunology Discovery research focused on human intestinal organoid biology, ex vivo tissue processing, and cell-based assay execution.

Responsibilities

  • Culturing and maintaining primary human organoids
  • Performing experiments using 3D cell culture models
  • Testing biologics and small molecules in cell-based assays
  • Processing human tissues
  • Generating molecular and cellular data to support early drug discovery programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of industry experience in a laboratory research environment

Qualifications

  • Human intestinal organoid culture and maintenance
  • Primary human organoid culture
  • Ex vivo human tissue handling and processing
  • 3D cell culture models (Transwells, MPS/CIVM platforms)
  • Primary cell culture and sterile aseptic techniques
  • Cell-based functional assays
  • ELISA, MSD or Luminex assays
  • Flow cytometry (FACS)
  • qPCR
  • Molecular and cellular biology techniques

Skills

  • Cell-based assay development
  • Multi-color flow cytometry
  • Gene expression analysis using qPCR
  • Experience with fibroblasts and immune cells (T cells, B cells, monocytes)
  • Human intestinal organoid biology
