About the role

Aids in staff supervision, training, and administrative tasks. Produces blood and blood products in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as supervisor, coach, and trainer for assigned staff
  • Performs mentor duties related to onboarding new employees, annual competency sign-offs, and assigned staff responsibilities
  • Maintains adequate inventory of necessary supplies
  • Manufactures, stores, and distributes blood and blood products
  • Carries out data entry for component production, labeling, storage, and shipping, ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing records
  • Operates, maintains, and performs quality control checks on equipment
  • Handles quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samples
  • Prepares and submits quality control samples for testing
  • Responds to internal customer service requests regarding inventory, ABO discrepancies, TTIMS, BacT Positive, and reference lab requests
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with six months prior laboratory, blood bank manufacturing, or logistics experience. Prior team lead experience is preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule with an 8-hour shift between 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM, any day of the week including weekends.
