Position Schedule
This is a full-time position that will work 100 PM - 930 PM Thursday - Monday. Schedule flexibility is required.
Training Schedule
Candidate must be available to attend training Monday through Friday 730am to 400pm for a period of 3-4 weeks (Based upon when hours are worked positions may include a shift and weekend differential of $1.50 - $4.50 per hour.)
Essential Functions
- Ensures suitability and accurate labeling of products for release and distribution
- Performs data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing records
- Maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment
- Operates, maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment
- Quarantines and disposes of unacceptable products and/or samples and performs quality control on blood products
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers and vendors
- May operate a OneBlood courier vehicle when applicable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organize work for timely completion
- Ability to multi-task, while maintaining the safety of blood components
- Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
- Ability to speak, write, read and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Skill in operating office equipment and technology
- Ability to report to work during a disaster, public health emergency or other catastrophic event
Physical Requirements
- The work environment involves the performance of moderately physically demanding work for extended periods of time, involving standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds)
- Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment
- Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Environmental Requirements
- The work environment is usually moderate in noise level
- Performance of this job could expose the employee to blood-borne pathogens and freezers at below-freezing temperatures (-30F/-35C)
- The work environment may involve exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances
